Project Description:
Hi Freelancers,
I am looking to get developed an Android application based on OBD (On-board Diagnostics) technology.
Basically we will start with the Android app and then further move on to the iOS, Windows and Blackberry platforms. This will be a long term relationship for our business.
The developer needs to be aware of OBD technology and the app to be developed must have following communication options for the users:
1. Comfort of car usage. You will always have comfort temperature maintained in your car before you sit inside which can be done remotely by operating car's AC from/within the app.
2. Control of your car. You can always check whether you close the doors or not, otherwise open\close it remotely like most of the security devices do. You can always be informed in time if somebody try to open your car or evacuate it.
3. Find your car. you can always find your car on the map and check the speed and direction of driving remotely.
Checklist: Start/Stop engine, lock/unlock doors and trunk, check temperature, speed, Geo location and get some statistical info about driving.
Alongside I also want the app to be integrated with social connections so that a user is able to share his views and even post alert messages in case of any emergency.
API's for OBD II devices are available here: https://code.google.com/p/android-obd-reader/
I will provide all the design assets.
Bidders please note that it would be very favorable if I see some of your previous work which includes this type of application.
Thanks
