- Site must be php, mysql, css, and ajax based.
- Site must be search engine friendly (seo).
- Code must be self-explanatory with internal comments.
- Project must have complete documentation with an overview of the code & site, and an ER diagram for the database.
- Site must be compatible with all major browsers, and platforms including Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome etc. and Windows, IOS, Android.
- Site must have tablet and smart phone friendly mobile versions.
- Site should be secure on all platforms.
- Site will contain competitions on a certain subject (system will be told in detIl when the project is started)
- There will be a number of user types with different rights in the site.
- Users can add friends, other favourite users, or other competition subjects as favourites.
- Streaming media is going to be the core activity in the site. There may be more than one stream on a single page.
- Major pages in the site (not limited to): Main page ; competition list pages in about 10 different competition categories; information pages; ongoing competition pages, where evaluations can be made; completed competition page, archived competition page, user profile page, where users can manage their accounts, friends and favorites; user's media page, where users can manage their media (upload, delete,
play etc.), user settings page, other user's profile page for viewing etc.
- Other functions in the site include (not limited to) messsaging, uploading media to the site, deletion of media, entering competitions, sending friendship requests, adding other users/media as favorites, making evaluations in the competitions (to be detailed)
- System will have functions to perform some tasks automatically such as calculating remaining competition durations, competition results, remaining user rights to enter a competition etc.
- Site will send auto emails to users based on their settings.
- Site must have admin and power user control interface pages. All administrative things based on agreed rights should be done via this interface.
- Site will be fully compatible and linked with facebook and twitter
- There should also be a forum in the site.
- Project includes visual design of the site as well. Site should have a simplistic look, such as facebook, twitter, apple etc. Should be easily reformatted with css.
- Site should be easily convertible to another language.
- All visual and operational decisions must be taken by us (so we should be asked about them when needed)
- All offers must include price breakdowns and links to reference work (indicating expertise on streaming media and friendship based web2.0 sites)Skills required:
